Have you ever wondered what it would be like if Pikachu was a detective? Well in an upcoming Pokemon game you can find out for yourself. Cause it stars a talking Pikachu, with a human sidekick. I actually find this interesting, don't you?

 

Another weekend is coming!

Just as the title says, the weekend starts tomorrow! Anybody have big plans for it?

Kamen Rider Ichigo!

To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Kamen Rider franchise, a new Kamen Rider movie is being made. What makes this big news is because Takeshi Hongo (Kamen Rider 1/Ichigo) is not only going to star in it, but he is also getting new power-ups to boot. Pretty cool right?

Fudge...

Yep...it happened again...Mighty No.9 has been delayed again...thankfully though, Keiji Inafune gave an explanation as to why. It seems that making Mighty No.9 for all present gaming systems, has brought about some bugs that need to be dealt with first. Also, one of the programs they used for the game's development is either out of date, or it no longer in service. The new release date for the game is sometime in spring of this year, so that's some good news. Also I can now follow my original plan of getting and playing Megaman Legacy Collection on the 3DS first.

Still hoping...

Remember when I posted how Nintendo should make a portable version of Super Mario Maker using the stuff from Super Mario Advance 4's E-World? Well I still think it's a great idea, don't you?

Strange...

Last Saturday, I managed to reserve Mighty No.9 for the Wii U at Gamestop. But when I tried to reserve it for the 3DS, it didn't show up on their computers. I'm sure it was just an small computer error, so I'll try reserving the 3DS version again later.

It's dangerous to go alone. Take this.

Since Japan gets to play Hyrule Warriors Legends first, people who can get Japanese stuff have already posted videos on it. While those of us who live here in the USA won't be able to play it until March 25th, the gameplay videos of the Japanese version still give everybody a sneak peak of what to expect when the English version comes out.

More good & bad news...

The good news is I know when Megaman Legacy Collection is coming to the 3DS. The Bad news is that it's on February 23rd, not too long after Mighty No.9 has been released. So my plan of playing Megaman Legacy Collection on the 3DS while I'm waiting for Mighty No.9 is kinda gone now. Oh well, live and learn.

One thing I forgot to mention is that during Christmas break, I saw the Peanuts movie with my family. It was wonderful! One of the best movies I've seen in a long time! You should check it out if you have the chance.

I'm back!

Well folks, my 4 day weekend is over...was anyone just as lucky as me? And if so, how was it?

Time for time off.

Pokemon's turning 20.

With Pokemon's 20th anniversary drawing near, the Pokemon company is doing lots of things to celebrate it. Such as giving away hard to get Pokemon throughout the year (starting February), releasing the original games (Red, Blue, and Yellow) on the Nintendo eshop, selling new Pokemon Trading Card game packs, and of course, releasing the Pokken game on the Wii U. Now if only they would do Pokemon TV specials starring Misty and the rest of Ash's old friends...

Bad news, good news time...

Just as I feared, Jean-Michel Roger IS worse than Rex Goodwin was. On a bright note though, the bad guys from the Fusion Dimension are finally making their move on the Synchro Dimension. That means that either they will deal with Jean themselves, or Yuya and Co. will have the chance to duel him without his puppets interfering. Even if I'm wrong on both counts, fact still remains, with the Fusion Dimension bad guys appearing again, Jean days are numbered...

Ore ga Boost!

Another fun thing I saw during the Christmas break was Kamen Rider Ghost's newest form. It's called Toucon Boost Damashii, and as you can see just by looking at it, intense fire and heat is it's main power. Like any Kamen Rider mid-season power-up, it is powerful, making it very useful til Ghost's next big power up comes along later this year.

Anything yet?

Well folks, it's been about 2 months or so since info about Greninja and Zygarde's extra forms have been shown. And yet, there hasn't been anything about a video game that let's you use them yet. If anybody has any info on this subject, please let me know.

Here we go again...

Mighty No.9's new release date is sometime this February. I don't remember the exact day, but I at least know the month. If you reserve it, you'll get some free DLC. Let's hope that the release date doesn't change again. Or worse, get cancelled completely.

Riders on parade!

For the past few years in Japan, direct-to-DVD DVD's called Kamen Rider Hyper Battle DVD's have been released. In these, the Kamen Riders do things and use powers that they don't use in their main shows. Case in point, the next Hyper Battle DVD will be Ghost's. And in it, Ghost will use Eyecon's (items which Ghost uses to transform) based on past Kamen Riders to gain forms based on those Riders. What's more, Ghost will use these forms on past foes. Which means that fights like Gaim form Ghost vs Overlord Baron (Baron's final form from Kamen Rider Gaim) will take place. Pretty cool huh?

Let's Duel!

Another fun thing I saw during my break was the newest trailer for the upcoming Yu-gi-oh movie. As I've said before: While I would have wanted another movie like Bonds Beyond Time more, I'm looking forward to seeing this new movie. It will be released in Japan on April 23rd.

How classics should get a modern treatment!

One thing that helped me enjoy my Christmas break even more was seeing the 1st episode of Digimon Adventure Tri! I think it was awesome to see the original characters having new adventures, meeting new characters, and facing new challenges (Alphamon for example)! Like the title of today's post says: this is how you modernize a classic show! I'm looking forward to seeing more of Digimon Adventure Tri!
